Guest Andy_S_T Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Hello, I have an Orange branded Omnia and I was wondering the best method of unbranding it, the version number is BVHH1_HJ2. I have seen other threads but not one where someone has unbranded with this being the original version. Thanks, Andy
Guest chunks01 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Well if you're talking software wise, installing a cooked rom will remove all the logos etc. Make sure you've backed everything up first and read up on it properly.
Guest Gake Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Hi Andy, Have a look over at Samsung-Omnia.org: http://www.samsung-omnia.org/rom-discussio...bvhh1-to-mshj1/ I followed these instructions a few months ago without any problems and haven't looked back since. I'm now considering a cooked WM6.5 ROM - but still not convinced!
Guest chunks01 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I'm now considering a cooked WM6.5 ROM - but still not convinced! Personally I'd go for a WM6.1 ROM, which is what I use right now. WM6.5 for me was a lot slower but I'm going to give it another try later. However it does have a few more features, so it's mainly a personal thing I suppose. Good luck whatever you choose!
