Guest kafer Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 first impressions GPS: I use Navitel Navigator. the software hadn`t loaded completely yet but nice voice already stated: "connected to sattelites"! less than a second took to fix the position! however, I had a fresh XTRA, A-GPS turned on and buffer size decreased to 512. it took a little longer for D1 to fix a position in the same conditions (about 5 seconds with fresh XTRA) Antenna: I`m going to use some signal streght monitor to check it because I`ve just returned from country side and noticed while driving that the phone lost network for about a minute. that never happened with previous ROMs WiFi & BT seem to work fine, without changes..

I heard about the Buffersize changes you can make in the registry (InputBufferSize, OutputBufferSize, MaxBufferSize). Is it worth doing that? Do you get a satfix faster (referred to normal buffersizes) and recognized any lags since? And how does that work with route 66?
Guest mazeli Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 ZT1F1 should be found in the chinese site www.kingmobile.net u gotta translate with google if you are not into chinese.. isn't kingmobile the page who was faking rom versions in the past???

And how does that work with route 66? as for me, this solution is worth. phone searchs sattelites faster. no, not searchs but handles sattelite`s info faster. I`ve never tried route66, but I believe that fixing time mostly depends on hardware settings but not on software
