Settings - Personal - Buttons - End key: Lock

Press and hold the end key to lock the phone

Did what you said but when I click it I get the following error message.

"The file 'menu launcher' cannot be opened, either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of it's components can't be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling the file."

I have looked through the windows folder and there is nothing even close to the word 'lock' in the whole folder.

I don't want to use the end button because I have that assigned to end data connections.

Thanks for trying though, maybe someone else out there can help. :D

This seems to be a link SBP Mobile Shell tool. It wont work unless SPB Mobile Shell is loaded.

THis works for me:

Install QuickMenu (you may or may not use it as a start menu replacement)

Run "\Programs\Quick\Menu\QuickMenu.exe" or "\My Storage\Programs\Quick\Menu\QuickMenu.exe"(depending on where you installed it)

Click QuickMenu - Option...

Go to the Command tab

Click "Lock" in the list

Click "Create Shortcut..."

Choose where to put the link (you can link it to a button if you put it in the default "programs" directory)

Associate it with a button as you normally would.(It's called QuickMenu-Lock)

I tested this myself, but tell me how it works!

While you're at it, check out all of QuickMenu's features. It even has Windows XP style expanding menus.

QuickMenu-Info and download

Enjoy :D

That worked

Thanks heaps for the help. There's only one thing.

Is there a way to have it so I can still use the WM6.5 start menu. I have it configured not to but for some reason after I use the lock shortcut it reverts to the quickmenu startmenu.

I am so close!

BTW I had a look around the quickmenu ap. It seems pretty good. If I was still using WM6.1 it would definitely be what I would use for the start menu.

Thanks again mate

When I opened this Lock.rar (lock.lnk) I found following command line

80#"\Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MenuLauncher.exe" -cmd:"menu|Tools\Lock Device"

This means you must be installed SPB Mobile Shell. which actually will run MenuLauncher with Lock parameter. Those who do not have that will not work.

QuickMenu option is better. Small app and easy to shortcut the lock...

The only thing I can think of is creating a MortScript that runs "QuickMenu.exe -c:1056", then kills the "QuickMenu.exe" process. I would, but have no experience in MortScript.

Another close alternative is to, in the options, Uncheck "Replace System's start menu", and set "Long press win logo" to "system start-menu". Then, you'll only get QuickMenu if you quickly tap the windows icon itself.

All I can think of...

Yeah already tried that too.

For some reason it refuses to let me use the windows startmenu.

Maybe it's a 6.5 thing.

Thansk for the advice though
