Guest MichaelV79 Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 After many irritating bugs on my Dutch Vodafone branded Samsung Omnia i900V I decided to flash the thing. After many calls with Vodafone they kept telling me that they where working at an update. That was a long time ago.... and still no update. Today I found a solution to get rid of my ARHG5_HH1 version and the Dutch Vodafone brand garbage. My "Vodafone" Omnia is now an unbranded Dutch XKHJ3 version. After the update Windows mobile asked me to choose witch language to use. I could choose between Dutch, English and French. This is what I did: 1) Edit the following registry key on the Omina HKCU\ControlPanel\Version\CustomVersion to XKHJ3 The original keys value on mine was ARHG5_HH1 I just altered it to read XKHJ3) Check this setting has been stored by using the version checker in Start\Settings\System 4) Run the official updater. If all goes correctly you should end up with the following versions: PDA: i900XKHJ3/XKHJ3 Phone: i900XXHI4 Remember: Flashing is done at your own risk! I hope this info may prove helpful to others. Now I have to check whether or not this is the most up-to-date version available. But everything better than a Vodafone branded Omnia with ARHG5_HH1 Have fun!
