Omnia stops charging in car when running IGO8

Hi guys,

i have problem which i haven't been able to solve. I would really appreciate any help on this matter. When i use the igo in the car with the car charger, it only charges for about 20 minutes. After that it stops charging until i soft reset it.

I have tried to switch the usb connection from active sync to mass storage. But this also didn't do the job. Dou you guys know the solution?

90% sure this is heat-related. Point a vent at the phone and keep your air on :D

Is normaly, because when you use igo the phone become litle hot, and when you charge is make the same thing, and when you are in car with this time, with sun.....now calculate. The phone have something like sensor, when is become to hot is stoping to charge, or is hapend that is shutting down itself.

When i use the phone in my car, i have the support where the air is come, then the AC refresh my litle joy :D and everything is ok for me. 

But is not only omnia, any other devices ussing this is for sigurance.

I had the same issue. You may find that your power suppy is not man enough to charge and power the i900 while it is running iGO8. You will need at lest a 1.5 amp (1500ma) supply, although a 1000ma just about copes.

That's exactly the case! I tried to put it in front of the vent, but that didn't seem to help. I'm thinking about buying the charger Looby advised. Thanks Looby!

I'm grateful for the reply's guys. After testing the charger i will let you guys know if that solved my problem.

Looby, but the end of this charger wont fit the usb entrance of the omnia. How did you solve this prblem?

Sorry about that, I use it on my Diamond and didn't realise the Omnia had a different connection :D
