Guest AkWngnut Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 Hello out there, I was wondering if anyone knew the settings for AT&T for the unlocked International version of the Samsung I900? I am trying to get my MSN messenger to work with my data package but it doesnt work and also my gmail wont connect. AT&T said since it was not their phone they dont have the settings for it and I need to contact Samsung. I thought I would check here first since there are some many users with this phone. Thanks in advance. -AkWingnut
Guest ilyukha Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) My Omnia picked up ATT settings automatically, so yours should do the same. Can you get online with your phone? If you can then it should be the problem with your settings for MSN and gmail. Are you trying to get gmail sync or just trying to get to gmail web site? Here is the setup for syncing gmail: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer....mp;answer=78886 Edited June 27, 2009 by ilyukha

Guest AkWngnut Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Yeah I tried and followed the link that you sent me and I still get the same error message. Here is that message "Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap settings" did you change any of those settings when you setup your Omnia? Do you have a i900 or a i910? Does that even make a difference? Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again for your help. do the following: name of connection = AT&T select a modem = cellular line(GPRS) APN = wap.cingular user name = [email protected] password = cingular1 domain = "blank" go to proxy settings: check "this network connects to the internet" uncheck " this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" it works for everything and u wont deal with AT&T WAP crap anymore...... P.S. b4 u do this, select no for auto configure internet settings, then go to operator settings and select singtel as ur operator, wait for 20 sec. then change back to AT&T, wait for 15 sec....... go to manage existing connections then start the setup as above........
