Fingerboard 2.1 no arrow layout, Portrait

Hi

Since i love fkb2 i really had one problem, i accidentally hit the arrow key below the space bar a few times, and i always thought that the keys could be a bit higher in size so i descided to alter the standard FingerKeyboard 2.1 layout a bit, merely to fit my needs better ;)

But i want to share my work with you, maybe for some of you it is usefull!

till now i have only done the mods to the german layout cause i only use this one!

If you need some other language feel free to ask, i'll look into it :D

But enough talking, here are some pictures

of course you can use it with every other visual design!

(BEWARE: The language and digits file will be overwritten so it will be always like that, to go back to the original version, backup your skin-02-wqvga-port-01-digits.txt, and your skin-02-wqvga-port-01-XXX.txt file!)

Installation: just copy the language file into \program files\fingerkeyboard\skin (or \my storage\... if installed there!)

To get the digits page as it is shown above copy the attached -digits file as well!

Types files needs to be overwritten once ( added for the graphics to work properly): skin_02_wqvga_port_00_types.txt

updated look at the pic above! ( {,},+ and = added )

Digits Tab: skin_02_wqvga_port_01_digits.txt

Layout as shown in the picture above, in particular language (more to come):

German: skin_02_wqvga_port_06_ger.txt

English: skin_02_wqvga_port_01_eng.txt

Spanish: skin_02_wqvga_port_20_spa.txt

Hebrew: skin_02_wqvga_port_18_heb.txt

Hi 

The problem with your space and arrow keys is easy fixed, just redownload the files in my first post, as i have updated them!

but the problem is i can't use the name ger_mod or something because then the landscape mode won't work ... :D

For the english as well, could you not swap the z and y as for us who use english that is how our keyboards are.

i don't really understand... the english version has qwerty layout and the german qwertz!

The problem still persists. There's an issue with the button alignments.

Could somebody please explain to me how to get back to the Samsung Keypad from Finger Keyboard 2?

 just uninstall fkb 2 :D and select under settings/ input the samsung keyboard

to the problem with the graphics, i'm looking into in right now, there seems to be a problem with the image selection when it's not done inside the types file...

Thanks a lot for this, I always liked the way fingerkeyboard looked but I hated how those arrows were in the way on the Omnia.

I moved the delete and enter keys over to the right so the key to remove the keyboard isnt in the way of backspace.

@joepalma, i'll test your layout right away, i also tought about that, sometimes when texting i hit keyboardhide instead of backspace...

Rename to skin-02-wqvga-port-01-eng.txt copy to skin folder and it should be OK.

I have uninstalled my fingerkeyboard 2 , but now the Omnia wants to open all my sms using this and the screen is coming up blank , How do I get rid of this , or should I say enable the phone to default to Samsung Keypad?
