Your phone has what is called a branded ROM, and those can be difficult to flash - even with another official Samsung ROM. The reason for this is because your mobile company has it's own software junk in the ROM. If you are new to ROM flashing, then I suggest that you go into the ROM section of this forum. You'll find the link at the very top of the this i9x0 forum. I assume that you do have an i900 so choose that link, and not the i910 link.

There, you will find a complete topic on how to flash your phone. You will also find custom ROMs there that are very good. You should be able to flash a custom ROM to your phone with out any problems. It would also be a good idea to do a search in that ROM forum for flashing Vodafone Omnias. I've heard of some issues with branded phones and custom ROMs. Also, be aware that using a custom ROM on your phone WILL void the phone's warranty so flash at your own risk.
