No Internet problem. Solved.

First of all: if this topic seems unnecessary, I apologize.

I post it because I've just "found" the solution for some dumb problem, which is here on the forums described as "problem of 2 left hands" - because very few people face it for certain reason.

Anyway, here is the anamnesis:

I've bought 2nd hands Omnia and decided to reflash it with WM6.5. It was going very well with rom 21820 of Khuanchai, but at some point after the reboot all my browsers (opera & IE) lost ability to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. I've tried everything including reflashing and noticed strange thing: the Weather plugin of Titanium CAN connect to the server, while browsers are not able do do that. Also one of the Sectors roms, could solve the problem, but I wanted Ultralight rom, so I continued my efforts to find the solution on Khuanchai's rom.

The solution is... a SIM-card. All my operations before were done without SIM inserted. The very first time I've inserted SIM I've got browsers working via Wi-Fi connection. After that with no SIM it is still working. In fact, the problem is very rare because most of people here are using Omnia with SIM inserted all the time, therefore having "antidote injected" all the time without knowing it.

So if you have this "connection lost" problem, just insert the sim and let it configure the connection.

Still no good at all back to 6.1 for me

Try switching operators network in settings->connections->operator settings. wait for 30secs before switching back.

I had the same problem with the last rom 21928 from Kuanchai no way to connect with internet trough WiFi, I re- installed 3 times and downloaded 2 times to make sure of room is ok, so I decided to install dddrko's rom 21928 and works nice..
