I won't copy this thread from the xda forum, just debate it

I think our cookers should include it into their roms, it's just too powerfull ;)

If you can get it to work and if you convert all of the cab files to be Extinder cab files. Not such an easy task. If not done exactly right it actually slows your device down.

8mb taken by Extendir, + 4mb taken by pagepool.

Hmmm....12mb is a lot to sacrifice.

And so much to get back in return? ;)

So far I have not seen a lot of evidence of gain from extendir. Once this becomes easier to set up and implement I might think about it but right now I'm not seeing the benefit of it.

Yeah it doesnt seem to help with the Files you cook in only the ones you add after, so that doesnt really do what the tittle says!!

What if you redirect every of your added program of your cooking like this way? Just keep the WM stuff into the windows directory, and everything else boosted by this method?

This would increase the speed of the rom itself, huh?

Every single program would have to be run through a program to change it to take advantage of Extendir and even then it is not sure that it will actual work with that program. So we would have to hunt down every program and run it through the Extendir cab maker. Then test it to find out if it made it faster or not.

We also have to do that with every program we cook in to a ROM right now. For me, and I would never speak for the other chefs, the work out weighs the benefits of this program.
