Guest brockstallion Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I was trying to take a pic with the phone earlier, I went through the usual stages; new message, MMS, edit and pic from camera but when I get to this stage the phone comes up with the message "Error: Problem with camera driver". It wasn't doing it this morning and I don't remember changing anything, can anyone help please! :?:
Guest Pidder Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Have you tried a hardreset yet? If so, call orange or take your phone to your dealer (saving everything possible before). I think this could be so serious that a replacement is needed :?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Welcome to the site brockstallion Just switch off the phone then back on again first If you still have the problem try a hard reset but only if you confident in doing so. go here for more details http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...ight=hard+reset How long have you had the phone for? Like Pidder said give Orange a call as you may need a replacement as a last resort. Have fun
Guest casper508 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I used to get his error a lot. I get it even now with AI Album. I just close the application and take the camera out for a few seconds. Then back it goes again and i restart the application. Viola...all fixed! Cas

The above works for me too when i've had this problem. Dunno why it should come up at all though. On a similar topic....has anyone else found the phone switching to the "car" profile when switching the phone on with the camera inserted. This can be very frustrating if you don't realise it's done so. I've made a few silent calls to people because of this. I thought it was still connecting when it had infact rung and the recipient had answered :?

I lost count of the number of times i had to manually change the profile. I went to my nearest Orange retail and the sales rep told me to attach the camera ONLY when i intend to take a pic. I on the other hand used to have the camera attached almost all the time (fear of loosing the little bugger ;) ) . So since then I dont think i've had to change profile manually. Not even once ! Cheers Cas
Guest brockstallion Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Thanks for your help guys, I phoned Orange who put my problem to their technical services department. Hadn't heard anything for a week so I've just phoned up and gone RRRRAAAAAA!!!. I downloaded the full version of IA Album as well but that didn't fix the problem. A new phone (not reconditioned) will be with me tomorrow! :)
