Guest Omi900 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Hi guys, For those of you who read about my woes a few weeks back, I have another question. Following the bricking of my Omnia during my very first ROM update, I chose to return the phone via the 3rd party supplier who I purchased it from. I was without my phone for 2 WHOLE WEEKS!! ;) Apparently they replaced the board which was kerput. My old ROM version was MSHG1, which is why I attempted to update it. However, now I can't tell what version it is. Here is the version info: PDA :i900XXHJ4 PHONE :i900XXHI5 I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some pointers/advice. Regards - Shaun

Guest dbotti Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Thanks for the reply vass_k, I still don't know what ROM version I have tho, or am I missing something? My old ROM version was MSHG1. Anyone please? Your Rom Version is XXHJ4
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Your Rom Version is XXHJ4 I had a similar problem after a circuitboard repair - but the rom Samsung's official repairer installed on mine was even older - XXHH1 - what made it worse was they returned the Phone version back to Orange's dreaded BVHH1. I did the reg change to make the PDA XXHH1/MSHH1, made sure it was unlocked etc etc, and reflashed it to the official MSHJ1 with no problems. Took a risk after that and tried virtually every rom out there until I settled on s0cks DXID1. Apparently there's an important step going from MSHJ1 which I missed out but got away with, but I can't remember what that is. It used to be listed on Taril's thread, but that's long gone. All the info's on here if you need it, just takes some time searching for it ;)
Guest bpivk Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 xx version is international so you shouldn't have any problems updating your rom to a cooked one.

Thanks for the reply bpivk, appreciate it. But I think I'm gonna steer clear of attempting to flash/update the ROM again. Don't get me wrong, I would love to. I just don't wanna risk bricking my phone again.
