Hey guys, I have the i910 and flashed the cc20 Rom and I've been going back and forth between some of the different cooked roms, but I've never had GPS working correctly. The "Enhanced GPS" everyone keeps talking about does not appear on my "System" screen. Is there something I need to do differently to get that to appear? Also, what's the best reg editor to use?

You have to enable the enhanced GPS setting tab through a reg edit.

I'm trying to find it again. lol

@bigdaddykane,

your post seems to be a copy of this post: http://www.samsung-omnia.org/precise-gps-n...e544bb26c56f39b

Have you actually tried it on the i910 to see if it works?

All right, I did some more checking and remembering and this does not work on our devices. Adrynalyne and I tested this a little while ago and got zilch from it.

OK, I know you all have worked diligently on acquiring a fast GPS lock. I have tried all your great roms and they really are a nice collection of work, but frankly I have had no real luck actually getting any of those supposed fast GPS Lock apps to work; but I know hands down what does work literately in seconds. Of course depending on your service plan, if you have one that includes VZ Navigator, meaning it won't cost you to use it. Just use the latest version, open it, click on maps and traffic, then where I am, once it locates you exit out of VZ Navigator and use what ever GPS APP you would like. Wallah your non VZ Nav GPS Apps locks to 8 sat's in seconds. Ya it sucks having to do it, but it does work. The reason it does is the first thing VZ Navigator does is establish where the Satellites are, and logs it in the phone like these so called GPS lock apps are supposed to do, and best of all you only have to do this once, not every time you want to use your Favorite Map app. I have only done this for one whole day. I assume the Log file last more than a day, but I am a rom freak and have been flashing the crap out of my Omnia trying all of your roms, I have finally at least for now got my phone set up the way I want it so I'll be able to test the length the VZ Nav file last on the phone without having to reopen it.

FYI: I this works on any app, I have used it with Garmin XT (my Fav), but it also works with google maps, and bing as well.
