is it safe to flash a custom rom?

hello!

right as i got my phone i changed my rom to i900DXHH1/DXHH1 simply by following paul's tutorial. i have a feeling this isn't the best/latest rom.

i dont know where to start.. so many threads..pages and pages... if anyone can point me in the right direction or post some links that would help me so much! im getting discourage and just want to throw my omnia!!!! im looking to get WM 6.5 (if recommended) and M2D installed because of the available themes or is the only way to install a M2D ROM?? if such thing? i'm so confused.

If you want WM6.5 then theres a couple of people here that do it and they all have threads.

If your looking for modified start up screens theres threads on that...etc.

M2D themes - there is a great sticky on that, i use Omega_B currently.

I'm always looking at was to improve the functionality for myself.

I use Khuanchai's 3 in 1 Lite ROM and its pretty quick tbh - but its worth looking in all threads to get an idea if the ROM may have features you want.

You need to be careful when flashing ROM's , it isnt the safest procedure and also may invalidate your warranty if you took it back to samsung with it on etc.

This is just if you want to mess around with it.

For theme's

There are M2D threads, a Titanium (windows) sticky etc.

After that its a bit of trial and error but you get used to it and post here for help etc.
