Guest speleomaniac Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Changes: No need to cook the roms with the "read-only" DLL files anymore. Chefs only need to put the control panel applet into "\Windows" directory. (the dll's are embedded into the applet). Tapping a button on the control panel will install or remove the emu files (htcapi.dll & htcsensorsdk.dll).

Guest m2millenium Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I HAVE a problem with my OMNIA i900 with the SECTOR's Athena ROM... based on WM 6.5 (build 23034). After starting the HTCEmu Calibrator, I cant stop it, neither using the "X" button. the window of the program keeps staying "always on" and the process doesnt appear in the Task Manager. THe only thing to work it out, is Soft resetting the device... and I'm not sure the Calibration is saved. Nobody knows about... THX

Guest joschi76 Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 Hi, somehow I can't get HTCEmu running in my Omnia Pro (B7610, Louvre, ...) I pasted the control panel in my windows directory, opened it and installed the dll files and did a soft reset... Now, back in the control panel, i can tap on "calibrate" but nothing's gonna happen. My device doesn't hang, or anything like that. I can leave the program and go on working but the Emu is doing nothing. Has anyone here experienced this and can give me a hint? I've got WM6.1 Professional running because my provider (Vodafone) has't released 6.5 yet :-( Thanks in advance, Joschi
Guest Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 I'm still wondering what the Navigation Wheel Emulation does. Any combination of ticks in the two boxes doesn't make the omnia behave like a joystick when tilted. Is this supposed to happen?
Guest Maty Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) I have the same problem as joschi76 on Omnia 2. Can somebody help? I use original wm6.5 Edited December 16, 2009 by Maty

Guest kamyers1 Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Guys, Found a video online of someone running the Seismo accelerometer demo app on a Samsung Omnia 2 GT-I8000. Since that is the same model as mine, figured that I should be able to accomplish the same result. So, I downloaded the following files: NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab from http://www.4shared.com/file/56393770/a9f58...35wmarmv4i.html SeismoCAB.CAB from http://www.freewareppc.com/misc/seismo.shtml HTCEmuPanel.cpl from http://www.samsung-omnia.org/index.php?act...4.0;attach=7162 (appears to be version 0.9) Next, I installed the .NET CF and Seismo application, copied the htcemu file to the Windows folder on my device. Then I powered it off and back on. After that I found and started the htcemu control panel item in Start -> Settings -> Advanced Settings tab -> Installed Items. I selected the optical joystick option and clicked the button to have the two dlls created. Next I exited the control panel applet, and powered my device off and back on again. Then I went back into the htcemu control panel applet and tried calibrating the accelerometer. Hmmm, no response. Next I tried running the Seismo application. Not picking up any vibrations there either. Line perfectly flat. Siesmo app also crashed on exit. Bottom line, no luck. :-( But based on the video that I saw, I'm pretty convinced that it *can* be done. What am I doing wrong? Is there a newer version of htcemu out there somewhere that I need to be using with the Omnia 2? Thanks, Kevin M.
