Creating Shortcut to SMS open with keyboard displayed

Is there some way I can create a shortcut to the SMS facility?

I would like to do this with options / arguements so that it:

1. Launches the SMS User Interface

2. Creates a new SMS

3. Displays the keyboard so I can start typing in a contacts name

Is there some place that one can find out which arguements go with which applications?
