GRPS Internet Connection

Hi all,

I have just got round to configuring my Omnia to use with email and am curious as to whether you guys leave your phone connected via GRPS all the time or whether you connect to check emails / internet and then disconnect until you need to use it next time, as I've noticed when my phone connects to check the emails it remains connected until I disconnect it manually. Is there any way to get it to disconnect automatically after it has check the emails??

There's some program which automatically disconnects the GPRS connection after a minute of inactivity. It's attached to the second post in this topic.

It basically does what is described in this post here

Thanks for the reply...I used the first link you posted, installed the cab file, soft reset and hey presto it disconnects after 1 min as I wanted.

I let mine stay connected all the time and don't really notice any effect on battery life.
