Apps for a cradled phone

Hello all,

Ive been a user of sidewindow for a very long time as a means of making my phone useful whilst its stitting in its cradle on my desk at work. But Ive recently changed jobs and my new employer wont let employees connect their phones to their PCs for security reasons. So no more sidewindow goodness for me ;) So Ive stated to look for apps that make the phone useful/pretty whilst its sitting in a cradle and charging. I have a samsung omnia i900 and came across the digital frames app that turns it into a digital photo frame. Its a good app, it looks pretty, its finger friendly, basically it works well for what its supposed to be.

What other apps are out there that would fit this role? Im basically looking for things a bit like the apps for things on a PC like yahoo konfabulator or vistas side bar thingie. Maybe a good (nice looking) RSS reader (ie not something that looks like it was designed for Windows NT) or other things.

The apps should be self scrolling (ie dont require user interaction while sitting on the desk) and continually update or scroll through different info.

Any ideas?
