I flashed to the CC20 rom on my Verizon i910 so I could use the GPS. The new rom uses Samsung Volume Control rather than the vertical sound bars that can be used with the phone locked or unlocked. I actually liked the ability to change my ringer volume while the phone was locked. Is there any way to disable Samsung Volume Control? I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find any information on this.

Great question, I have the same problem and have been looking for a solution. I'll post here if I find anything. Bump.

BGill's Latest ROM replaces the samsung volume with the stock WM6.5 volume. I was searching for a way to get the Samsung Volume back...I much prefer it.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready to make the leap to WM6.5 yet. Has anyone found a way to disable Samsung Volume control for WM6.1?

I accidently disabled it when i was trying to find things i could clean out of the startup folder.

go to mydevice/windows/startup

look for files:

LargeDisplay_CDMACSP and LargeDisplayStart

I don't like to delete files I just move them and see what happens. I moved these two files to a folder on my storage card and after doing a soft reset the samsung volume thing is gone and i just have the regular winmobile volume control. not sure which of these files controls that, but it's one of them haha.
