Well I did the firmware update to make the gps work. I installed google maps and went outside to try to have my gps picked up, but it didn't work. Is there anything else I need to do? I set the gps to be able to be activated by any program.

Settings - Personal - Phone - Services - GPS - Location ON - Accept - Soft Reset - Accept - Soft Reset (Just for good measure)

Turn on your GPS Program, and configure it to use COM 8 Baud 57600

Go outside with a clear view of the sky

Bring a chair, and wait 10-15 minutes (The first lock is a pain, and takes the longest)

Wake up from your nap and realize you have a GPS lock..

You could flash it as many times as you want or flash a cooked ROM (just make sure you follow the directions everytime so you don't kill your phone). I don't even change the GPS settings in GoogleMaps. I let it use Automatic. Usually takes about 30 sec to get a lock.

I could use a new paperweight though...

I re-flashed it, didn't help v.v

It might take some playing. If your phone is working then the GPS will too. Please do some reading as there are many threads about the issue.
