Guest xm81bpm Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 I was on Sprint w/ an HTC Diamond i had been getting texts from places such as: Weather.com cnn.com 1010wins.com and many others... I ported my number over to Verizon i have an i910 (using blazingwolf) for some reason i can't receive any of those type of texts anymore? But if someone texts me or if i text a person it works fine. I have already been on w/ verizon many times and they say there is no reason why i shouldn't be getting them. Has anyone else had this problem? Can someone sign up and see if it works for them? This is kind of messed up! Thanks.

This is kind of messed up! Thanks. Don't know if this is the problem or not. One of the profile settings in VZW (I don't recall exactly the name) is to prohibit for fee text messages. This is not the VZW fee but the charges that are billed by the message sender. If that is set, perhaps it is preventing other commercial texts. I have also seen and reported to VZW that certain email-to-text messages never get to me. Again, don't know if this is your problem.
