Blocking a number...

Anyone have a way to block that OZMAIL messages from 1-(180)-122-2269? It's a verizon thing that says "Reply STOP to stop these messages" But I tried, and verizon charged me for out of nation text...

Any fixes?

And obviously the reply didn't work, just made me spend a dollar...

So often I am glad I have unlimited texting. I called and they said something about the number "not being blockable" by them.

i'm from europe but i think your law too requires all such senders to provide means to opt-in and opt-out. if the opt-out doesn't work, there should be someone responsible and your provider should assist you in finding that person (or a way to opt-out that works).

these are text messages? and do you get charged for them at all besides counting against your normal text message usage? theres an option to "block premium sms messages" somewhere in VZWs online account management. i had to do that for my sister who i regrettably let on my family plan lol

Hi,

Google for Call Firewall v1.4

On that you can block numbers for either calls or SMS.

They will still send them. but you will not see them!!!
