Guest nxtvctm Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Hi, I have spb 3.0 installed on my omnia. I did download a few skins for it. But now I am bored with it again. I am thinking of getting manila 2d or even 3d if there is a way to make it work. I have read on some posts that I would have to do a hard reset. Is there a manila 2d skin for spb 3.0? And is manila 2d more faster than spb 3.0 in regards to touch responsiveness? Could someone provide me with the download links for manila 2d skin for spb 3.0. I have tried searching and no luck.
Guest wasubi Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 I was running spb3 on mine, got annoyed with it, but it isnt too bad. You can get skins in manila 2d style, Try searchin for Imarche skins, google is ur friend ;) so is the search function in this forum. U can customise imarche skins in many ways to alter the look of spb3, from natural omnia styling, to iphone, and even manila 2d. But the experience of manila 2d is much better when u actually have the proper thing running on ur phone. skinning spb3 to look like manila just isnt the same, but it does look ok though. In terms of hard reset, yes u will. But if u dont wanna loose anything just backup your phone before hard reset. How and where to get it? Well best thing u can do is find a custom rom with manila 2d built into it, shokka9 has some good ones as does sector, just to name a few. Just make sure you back up a copy of your current rom incase u want/need to revert back to factory rom. With most custom manila 2d roms, it also has manila2d customiser, letting u apply differnt skins to manila. If it doesnt u can always download it. Theres other added benefits to flashing to a custom rom, but ur just gonna have to read into it for yourself, other wise ill be here all night explaining every detail. But, make sure u read everything carefully before flashing ur phone if u do. Take the time to read and research, the best advice i can give u!
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 TF3D... so far... is incompatible with the Omnia because the hardware won't support it. Here's my opinion on MS3... - it has a great concept, but it's just too busy. - It's heavy with lot of features that (at least for me) aren't really even necessary. - Touch responsiveness is great! - The graphic interface is too cartoony for me. - Can be laggy TF2D... - The flow and direct integration with the phones core apps is great. - The over interface is clean and sharp and looks very professional. Can be altered with the many themes available. - It does have a few bugs and is laggy at times. - Overall much simpler to use than Mobile Shell.
Guest a1m80t Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Well, when I had my touch pro, I thought it was no comparison that SPB mobile was better. TF3D would lag on certain spots and the scrolling scroll side ways structure took too long to find stuff. On the other hand, SPB Mobile shell was way faster and better organized but you have to configure it properly to suit your needs (theres redunacy and some useless features that need to be turned off)
Guest nxtvctm Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 thanx for the replies guys. I have imarche skins installed, but I am bored with it now. Yes, spb 3.0 is nice but M2d looks really nice too. I can't update my rom cos I keep getting this 'device not found'. I made another thread on that, but I have given up on that at the moment cos I tried nearly everything but it doesnt work. I don't wanna brick my omnia. I have downloaded fingerkey board, igo8, spb traveller, net 3.5, hdwobble : ) and spb 3.0. Nice forum btw
Guest wasubi Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 do u mean device not found through active sync?
