Guest level140 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 What is unlocked? What are the UI updates(pics?)? Also, has it been confirmed you can flash to CC20, or have they blocked it? Any chefs figured out how to unlock agps and add it to their roms yet?
Guest tampaboy1984 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 So what's different in this "NEW" Rom it seems to me like its just the same as Leaked CC20. I think it's a Placebo Rom, to keep all us Omnia I users happy till the Omnia II is here and we all buy it. Cause once the Omnia II comes out the Omnia I support will be basically dropped.

I'm not buying the II. Not worth it. But yah, this is our first and last update.
Guest bga7x Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 I'm not buying the II. Not worth it. But yah, this is our first and last update. Why start a new thread??? all these question are being asked and answered in the other 5 threads about the same thing! ;)
Guest gayflag Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) If i'm not mistaken, there is 2 parts to our phones. One part (CSC?) which contains functions such as radio and gps and the other part (PDA?) which contains all software (windows/google maps/today screen/etc) The official update updates the phone part, radio, gps etc, as well as the PDA (winmo 6.1 sammy gui etc.) When you load a ROM, it just replaces the entire PDA section, leaving whatever gps functions you had alone. So in theory you should be able to flash any ROM you want after installing this update, or the previous leaked update, correct? but this doesnt really need a new thread. there are a few topics already started about the new update. Guest level140 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 There's too many pages in the other ones, and not all the questions are being asked and answered.

Guest level140 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 So ask them in that thread :slap: Don't expect someone to ask YOUR question. Or I could start a thread with all the questions together and wait for a chef.
Guest gayflag Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 There's too many pages in the other ones, and not all the questions are being asked and answered. Yea, good idea. Whenever you have a question, no matter how insignificant others might see it, just post it in a new thread. Ok lil' buddy? It's cool. ;) nobody will mind

Guest Tim-H Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Calm down guys, a new thread doesnt hurt anyone.

Cool. I seem to get my location within 1000 meters, which isn't very helpful for navigational software =( I might flash back to CC20.

Guest mcperson Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 adrynalyne somehow managed to fry up a custom rom for the new update already....couldn't even believe it. his roms are by far the best! flashed to the new rom downloaded cooked rom and flashed. agps works flawlessly with 6.5! go to ppcgeeks.com right now everybody and download it.

Three for the Verizon i910, four for Bell and Telus i910s. 1 part is the Phone ROM. 1 part is the CSC (carrier customizations) ROM. 1 is the PDA ROM. Cooked roms only adddress the PDA rom. We cannot access CSC, which makes things fun....NOT. Edited July 17, 2009 by Adrynalyne

Guest gayflag Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Actually, i have personally been getting excellent indoor locks. Most times, just as fast as standing in the middle of my yard.
Guest thejaff Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Actually, i have personally been getting excellent indoor locks. Most times, just as fast as standing in the middle of my yard. Same. I get locks in literally 4 sec, located within about 100 m (aka my backyard)! I'm waiting till have to go somewhere to see how well it tracks along roads, etc.
Guest level140 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 I walked outside, it got the location within 30 meters in 5 seconds.
