Question about encryption

Now I know that this was my mistake and it is probably even pointless to ask, but figure I'll give it a shot. Now a few weeks ago I screwed up the phone so I did a hard reset, however I forgot that I had some pictures there and that encryption was turned on. Now today I am upgrading to the new verizon firmware, and was on the process of backing up. That's when I saw all my old pictures encrypted, and since I did a hard reset the stupid key is long gone. Now is there any way that they can be decrypted, perhaps some kind of cracking tool. I know this can be done for password/hashes but can it be done with this type of files. Any input is appreciated.

first of all I think you can only see the files in your phone, so I think you need to change back to the old rom...

and if you forgot the password I think you need to forgot the pictures and take new ones...
