[SOLVED]WM 6.5 locking with iGO8

Whenever I use iGO8 or even a game where I don't touch the screen for a while, even tho the screen won't dim (since iGO is set to not dimming), the lock screen will still activate over it.

I'm using a Khuanchai's WM 6.5 rom and my lock screen is set up with a password.

Also is WM 6.5 lock very resource hungry? I always used to get a delay in the lock screen showing up (not to do with the activation of the slider problem). However i think i fixed that by going to a 8 PP rom instead of a 12 PP rom.

basically, anyone know how to stop the new 6.5 lock to appear after a period of inactivity even tho the backlight stays on when running a program like iGO8? This problem didn't happen with 6.1.

I've searched around for weeks with nothing, maybe u guys can help??

I only found the solution of adding another screen lock (using S2U2), then adding iGO8.exe as part of its exceptions.

You have to change the settings in IGO

Go to menu of igo, settings, device, here you have the igo backlight or something like this, and probably you have option "use sistem device settings", you have to change this seting to "backlight active" or "economy backlight"

@mh21ttn: That option doesn't work, its been set to backlight always on. This setting worked for WM6.1, but not 6.5.

I'd hate to go to S2U2, even tho i used it before and loved it, its just that the WM6.5 lock provides everything i need without the extra battery and resource crunch.

I'd think this problem exists for all programs in which u don't touch the screen for a while, so that it eventually locks. So it makes using GPS pretty much impossible.

Any way to make an exception list for the default WM6.5 lock screen?

forgot to mention that this seems to be a WM6.5 problem, and isn't so much ROM specific since it happens in Shokkas and Khuanchai's roms.

Just to let you know, this may be specific to iGO8, I have no locking issues when using CoPilot, and I'm using Khuanchai's 6.5 ROM.

I have no lock issues with Igo8 and WM6.5

I would say, change the Power options under settings=>system=>Power

alright guys, i think i've solved this issue.

It is a drawback of the WM6.5 lock.

Require:

SmartLock from Here

The problem will be for those who password lock their phone. Here's what to do:

1. on your phone, go to settings >> Lock

2. Change the time for prompt if phone unused for to something large (eg 12 hours).

3. You can keep your phone power settings the way u had them.

4. Set smartlock to lock on suspend

Now you can use GPS without the lockscreen coming up. However, you have to either manually lock or put ur phone into standby for the lock to activate when using the phone normally. Otherwise you can just wait until the phone goes into suspend mode as set by your power settings.

There is an IGOlauncher rar out there where you edit the ini file and use the included exe to launch Igo. The Igolauncher handles the backlighting and lock issues for you.

I'm also annoyed by the lock screen in general because mine locks out every 15 minutes. My company's Exchange Server policy enforces this, and so as long as I have my phone set up to recieve company email it has to be this way. Unfortunately, 15 minutes is the maximum amount of time I have to choose from. On the bright side, the screen won't lock out on me if an app is running. But I still wish I could override this somehow.

Have someone found a solution for this? It is not for iGO but for other apps (like wakeup alarm)
