Guest rmac Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) I've been floating around MoDaCo for quite some time on these forums. I'm not exactly what you'd consider a professional photoshopper or anything of the sorts, but I'm broke and this may be the only way I can contribute to the success of the chefs' countless hours of work every day, so that I can have a fancy phone that I actually like to show off to people. So I made my own version of Ani_poweron, which is extremely basic, based on Windows 7, but I like it and I figure other people may too. Should be a matching Ani_poweroff coming, and also I modified a welcomehead.96 that I like to fit our Omnias. I'd like to give due credit, but I'm not positive of the author (here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3247060), so I don't claim original credit for the work, either. If any developers want me to attempt to make customized startups for their roms, send me a message, and I'll do my absolute best to fulfill them. Made another two 7/20: Edited July 20, 2009 by rmac
Guest gayflag Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 These are beautiful. Thanks, i am going to put these on my phone.

Never uploaded pics to the forum directly, hope these come up) Updated Poweroff. Not sure if its as good as the original =D.
Guest dwallersv Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 These are awesome!! Thanks a ton. Installed them and tried them out. The bootup images are really nice, but I especially like that shutdown animation. Now, on the 910, there is this little progress bar, for lack of a better description, that still shows up overlayed on top of the ani_poweron image. Anyone know if this can be replaced too, and what file it is?

Anyone know if this can be replaced too, and what file it is? Every Ani_poweron image thats run through successfully (I had one or two cut out halfway through the animation) runs the progress bar after the gif is done. Even if you got rid of the progress bar, theoretically you'd probably end up having a 5-10 second delay at the end of the gif anyway, so I kind of made mine to fit in with it? If that makes sense? By the way, any ideas people would like to see I'm ears for.
Guest dwallersv Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 But can it be replaced? Is it just another gif89a file like ani_poweron? I'm not so intent on getting rid of it, so to speak, but I'd like to be able to mess with it and maybe do something more interesting.
Guest gorf1000 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Could you make a Welcomehead for WM 6.1? I love your design it'd just look a little funny to say WM 6.5 and boot to 6.1 (okay, no one else in the world would care but me, but anyway.....) Great work! By the way, anyone have an answer for dwallersv, I've asked this in other threads and haven't heard any answers on it yet. Thanks!

Since the work on this one isn't my original work, I don't really know the font they used, and even if I did, to replace the "Version 6.5" with "Version 6.1" it would look out of place. I can make it look pretty good saying "Version 6", but I mean, then its kind of lame, but here's the sample if you'd rather use that. 6 is better than 6.5 and 6.1, could be either. =D
Guest necosino Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 If you can make a .gif that takes up the entire boot time, you shouldn't see the bar anymore. When I first flashed to BW's ROM, I saw that bar for like 7 seconds. Now with a custom startup gif, I only see it for like 1-2 seconds.

If you can make a .gif that takes up the entire boot time, you shouldn't see the bar anymore. When I first flashed to BW's ROM, I saw that bar for like 7 seconds. Now with a custom startup gif, I only see it for like 1-2 seconds. So the bar won't come up until the original .gif completes its first iteration, so even though the .gif is set to repeat it won't? So what we need is a startup .gif like the ones above that are actually created to take 20 seconds or so, even if it repeats its action it needs to have an initial timeline of 20 seconds?
