Guest sepp_a_u Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Hi guys, I am just wondering if it is possible to update my omina under the new windows - windows 7? Or can I update it under MacOS X? I only got these two OS. Can somebody help me? And how is it possible to connect my omnia with the MacOS x? Kind regards
Guest Chugworth Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 If you're talking about the recently released Verizon i910 update, then yes, it can run under Windows 7 and even the 64-bit version. Just set the update file to run in Windows Vista compatibility mode or else it will give you an ActiveSync error when it starts.
Guest Emilio Del Plato Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I have been updating using Samsungs UMDL with windows 7, both 64 and 32 bit. so yes it works just fine.
Guest necosino Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Also confirmed working on Win7 RTM build 7600 x64
Guest x.v_ Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Success updating on Windows 7 for me! :D What I did was install Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista in compatibility mode. Then I ran the update tool in compatibility mode. Everything went as planned. I recommend it. ;)

Guest jonboyuk Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 I just happen to use it for other things, not just updating ;) Just another idea!
Guest MrJoneswii Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I use VMware as well. Anyway, flashing your phone in XP is safer.
