It's kind of annoying when the screen turns off and I have to search for buttons instead of just re-tapping the screen. I'm sure it saves power in your pocket, but I would really like it. ;) Is there some sort of program? I've looked around a little while, but never seen any setting to do so. Anyways, thanks!

This is not possible. When phone is in sleep mode touchscreen is turned off (touchscreen is not monitoring for a preasure).
