Guest ccsnet Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I admit it.... Android is a new thing to me other than the good pictures on the web - but its intergrated me that much I am defintly looking forward to getting one soon how ever I am used to WM so much so I'm having to ask the following.... How does the ROM look ? eg In WM you can create a custom ROM and vairy how the RAM is sized Does it do a custom setup like some ROMs do where by several 'cabs' are installed to install Opertor progs ? Is it possible to transplant any of these - eg The HTC Sense Enviroment to another build ( theorectically ).... How easy is it to 'cook a rom' for the Andriod phone compaired to WM ( assuming its rooted ) ? How memory hungry is Android compaired to WM when running apps ? I like to know how things I use work because you never know when you may find it of use or of intrest. TIA Terran
Guest Paul Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 ROM building isn't massively complex... no more complex than WM... just different! It definitely helps if you know Linux too! :) P
