No, GPS unit's bluetooth is normally for pairing a phone to use it as a hands-free device. It can't handle file transfer. Some units do have internal storage and will allow you to store music on the GPS units themselves and play that over the car's radio.

So no, won't work, probably never will, either..

What you need is a bluetooth Head Unit for your car i.e. JVC BT-1. I have one and it's amazing!

I use a Motorola T505 which has a FM transmitter to my stereo in my car. It works great. I listen to Pandora and mp3s in my car everyday.

Check the GPS units specifications for bluetooth, if it supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile, it should be doable, highly unlikely tho. Honestly the best way to play music from your phone to your car is just an audio input jack on a deck (head unit.) Best quality, best battery life for phone. I did this alot personally, even plugged in the car charger also with the dual-adaptor that comes with the i910 for Verizon and streamed music over the net lol (Archos 5 took the phones place, awesome setup). Bluetooh is convenient, but it will cost more money for a deck, will drain the battery on your phone faster, and won't have the sound quality as a direct connection.

I've been using SiriusWM5 on my Omnia. I connect my Omnia via Bluetooth Audio thru my Ford MS Sync system in my car! Works awesome! Now I don't need a regular subscription to SiriusXM in order to listen in my car.
