Guest pacman9889 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Ok, I've read about 20 topics covering this, and tried several different programs with no luck. I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to launch S2U2 by holding the end key. AEButton doesn't work, Hbutton doesn't work, HTC Long Press End Key doesn't work. I know you can just push the power button to lock, but its way up there for my fat sausage fingers to reach. I'm sure there is some registry value somewhere, or even modifying the default lock screen to point as a shortcut (but I don't know enough about that to even begin). Anyone have any recent sucess with this? I'm running BW 1.1 night, if that makes any difference.

You have to do it as follows: Title: Re: S2U2(Lock device with long hold on end button) Post by: 75 Repu on April 14, 2009, 02:56:05 PM easy fix, just remap the end key with aebplus. just not the way you did it. leave all the button configs alone on aebplus. go to the menu and find where you manually add a button. it asks you to press the button you want to map, hold the "end" key and it will register button 0085 i think... then configure THAT button for s2u2 as regular press, not long hold. it seems that the long hold of the end key registers as a different button than the end button, which leads to double locking if done the way you tried it. hope this helps. I take no credit. I found this somewhere. Jeannette
Guest Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 This can be done quite easily with Advanced Config - must have application! Advanced Config - Menu - More Settings - Key Mapping and associate right softkey with any application on your phone. Works for me

Works for me re-assigning the softkeys are easy to do (even with no app installed, direct from registry). the topic was aboutn long press end key. Advanced Config has the option to re-assign this key but it's disabled.
