Guest epdm Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Hi folks, I've discovered the following oddities. When using the standard Windows Mobile today screen (WM6.1) with the messaging item displayed. It's gone after a soft reset. The creepy part is that all other selected items keep on the today screen. Just the messaging-item dissapears I also encountered the following. If you have installed Cyberon voice commander then every time you open Settings --> Buttons, the camera-buttons long-press gets reset. I have this set at finger-mouse. But every time I open the button configuration it's reset at camera!!! I've googled around if others have this too. I have a I900 with the "clean DXIA5 Rom" which I've modified (I strippedl the samsung backgrounds, mp3-files, pointers etc). The same happens with the unmodified clean DXIA5 ROM. Any ideas? Particularly to keep the messaging item on the today screen. Thank in advance.
Guest N_M_S Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I have the first problem but with the date\time item, it keeps disappearing; so I installed Samsung Time. some problems you just got to live with.

Do you use a custom rom? As for the other things. Does that mean that nobody ever uses video calling?

Sine nobody replied I'm assuming that he used original ROM Anyway. My problems went further. A few days ago I noticed that syncing through the USB-cable didn't work anymore. It went worse from then on. After each reset/power-off cycle my clock was set back to some date in 2006?!?!? I took a backup, did a hard-reset, restored my backup except the system-settings. That solved that clock. Googling most o/t forums around I found no cure to my problems other then to re-install my Windows (assuming it was my XP that went bollocks). In the end I did another hard rest of my Omnia (without using the restore function from my backup program) and lo and behold. My clock works again as should be, USB syncing works again AND my classic today screen doesn't lose the messages tab. The problems is that I installed a ton of other apps before the USB problems got noticed (I usually sync over Bluetooth). These are the problems that I currently know for a fact: -Cyberon Voice Speeddial causes erratic behavior regarding the button configuration, loosing the settings you made in the settings screen with every reboot/power-on cycle. -Vito Audio Notes Touch behaves erratic when automatic Call recording is enabled and you perform a 3G video-call (with the standard Samsung dialer) Is there a faq around where these kind of problems get collected? Thanks, EPDM
