Contact issue with number

Hi everyone.

Just an issue im having lately after upgrading to 6.5, i backed up all my contacts and restored them once i upgraded but for some reason some come up with their name when they ring but some do notr number saved and its really frustrating.

Is anybody else having this issue and/or solved it?

u use sprite backup?

sprite backup not compatible wif winmo 6.5..

it happened to me too last time during using winmo 6.5..

Have you tried restoring with PIM Backup? If you convert your vCard files from your old contacts to tab or space delimited files, then you can import them via PIM and match them any way you like. Windows Vista/7 will do this for you if you open your "Contacts" folder. There's a tutorial on the web here. I spent 5-6 hours on the crap the other day, so this is the method that worked for me.

could also have to do with area codes. i have even my local area code in each number i have since they show up like that when i get any call, but when i go to dial i never type in the area code so it doesn't pick up the contacts. so if you don't have the area code in even local numbers, i'd assume it wouldn't pick up the contact because of the lack of area code.

Same thing happened to me when I flashed to the new official ROM. I ended up just replacing the new empty pim.vol file with the one I had copied to my pc before I flashed it, and so far it had fixed the problem.
