Guest anephew Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Well, I followed the instructions and I have WMCD 6.1 installed and I synchronized all contacts pictures files, etc. and I downloaded the SCH-i910 upgrade program via this link as well. Only problem, when I open the SCH-i910 upgrade program, it tells me that WMCD is not installed! I even uninstalled, re-installed both WMCD and the samson upgrade program and after 2 days is still telling me to install WMCD argghhh! Anyone having the same problems as me? Just wanted to address this issue for any users who may be having problems with the new offical rom just released by Samson and VZW... Edited July 24, 2009 by anephew

Guest Tim-H Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 ah ok. Are you on vist 64, seven 32, or seven 64?
Guest Chapster Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 I'm having the same problem myself, but I'm using XP 64 bit and getting the error message "activesync 4.5 is not installed in your pc"
Guest Chapster Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=75491&page=2 From the above link: You have 2 options: 1) Set Vista 64-bit to compatibility mode. Do this by right-clicking on the Samsung utility .exe and then properties and setting it to Vista SP2 2) The failsafe option, flash to CF03 using UDML. See this post for instructions on how to do it with UDML: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=5124 ...and if you don't even have UDML yet, go to this post first and download the UDML 2.3 utility: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...53&postcount=1 Still haven't seen anything for X64, but I'm going to try UDML
Guest anephew Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I ended up calling VZW tech support... very friendly and knowledgable by the way! Anyways, silly me I forgot I was running a vista 62 bit browser. To fix the problem I just downloaded the update off my buddy's old XP laptop and that solved my problem. Then after the update I synced all my contacts/pics/videos etc. with my vista laptop. Just as a reminder, it never hurts to double check your system: control panel>> System.
