New to android so a few question

How to get HTC Sync to see phone and sync outlook contacts, I've tried in vista and win 7 and no luck

I'v setup Google Calendars and synced Outlook to that, can you do same with contacts?

As you may have gathered, Outlook sync isn't supported out of the box. You need to sync between GMail contacts and outlook, and your Android phone will sync with your gmail contacts.

There may be an HTC-specific way to do this on the Hero, I don't know as I have a Magic.

On a Hero I was under the impression HTC Sync should 'just sync' seamlessly with Outlook!

That's exchange, not Outlook itself.

HTC Sync isn't for Exchange, it's for desktop Outlook.

Not out-of-the-box. It's coming though (Google are writing their own, rather than using HTC's implementation).

There's a 'Work Email' app floating around you can use in the interim...

HTC's implementation would do for now! Will have to find that Magic Asia rom and see what I can do ;-)

Are you rooted? Shouldn't matter, but if you are, you could 'adb remount' then 'adb push mail.apl /system/app/mail.apk'...

Why thankyou kind sir. Still haven't powered the hero up or opened the sim pack in case it has to go back...plus too busy playing with RTM windows 7. Anybody else replicated the checkdisk memory leak?
