Guest dna550 Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Now that my internal GPS is working in my Samsung OMNIA SCH-i910 I am drilling down into automatically geotagging the photos I take. Has anyone done this yet?
Guest Paul Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 I love this feature! I wish normal cameras had GPS units built in tho, hehe. It works great with iPhoto on the mac... P

Guest Paul Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I thought Picasa did it via Google Earth? P
Guest blueflash Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I thought Picasa did it via Google Earth? P you can tag it with google earth, but seeing as already gps tagged, unless missing something, flikr good tho that finds the GPS tags off your photos. all searches I find I old, and relate to how to gps tag etcc.. has it just not caught on, why cant a PC app view you pics or do slide show with PIP map of where it was taken :) I know its not like important just seem a unreconized feature with all gps, camera phones around
Guest Subliminal Aura Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 This is the one thing that is bugging me with android. Twidroid does not embed gps location in EXIF metadata. Still looking for decent apps :-o The best I've used is locr for the windows mobile and it was damn quick and reliable. Snap a photo and directly upload to locr where it gets maps automatically. My server would monitor my RSS stream and push my new photo out to social streams. Perfect ! I want something similar for my HTC Hero :D Even if it means emailing the photo, that's fine
