Guest Nissan_350Z Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Okay.. i have 2 omnias.. aand.. well actually omnibricks. but i tried the samsung update (Official) and it hung and the red led went dim on my phone (yes on a full charge) and it isnt doing anything now. and my other one, i tried the iDoctors thing. and it said it was complete, but my omnia was stuck on a black screen, but the red LED is brighter on it atleast. but i have no clue how to possibly fix it. any help will be greatly greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Guest Tim-H Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Did you use the same usb cable on both? There have been cases of bad usb cables causing these problems. Also with the previous leaked ROM if you used USB 1.X it would also cause this.

Guest Bulldogs Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Your best bet is to stick with XP to avoid causing anymore damage. Try updating your USB drivers under XP and connect to only the back USB ports on your computer (not in a hub either), and as long as your MB supports it then it should be running under USB 2.0.

Guest Tim-H Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 The official verizon updater is designed to work on vista. The UMDL also works fine with vista. I would try to visit your local verizon store and see if they can force a flash if you cant get the updater to recognize the phone.

Well it is an official update and the samsung warranty is good for a year. I'd definitely get in contact with them if Verizon wont help. Good luck.
