MP3 buffering

I use my Omnia as an MP3 player for my bus ride to work every morning. Since day one there has been an issue where occasionally the music will pause for a second or two and then pick up where it left off. It sounds like a portable CD player skipping but when it does it it says buffering on the screen. It seems to happen randomly and no matter what player or ROM I use nothing has changed. Any advice on this issue?
