Hello guys, first of all sorry for my English. I've got my Samsung Omnia 4 days ago as a gift and I was very happy with it, I was reading forums about the Samsung Omnia and I saw many people saying that there Samsung Omnia was being better after an upgrade. I was thinking to make an upgrade too.

So i went to the official Samsung Mobile website and made the upgrade. Then the programm said start the device manually/on demand. So I did, but there happened nothing just a blank screen. So I pulled in panic the USB cable out and tryed to starting the phone by the power button but no response from the phone. Only the red power button was on. And now my Samsung Omnia is bricked :-(! I'm reading now for 3 days on the internet for how to unbrick my Samsung Omnia. But I couldn't find things that helped. I red many topics in this forum and I didn't found here either something that can help. Is there something that I can put on a MicroSD card and reboot it? Please guys, help me!

If you have installed Samsung Drivers and after connecting phone to computer, starting flash application and pressing POWER ON on Omnia for about 3-4 seconds UPDATE button does not enable then the answer is yes - you have bricked your phone and the only solution is to send it to service (with proper flash device fix is easy).

Yes I know that my phone is bricked.. My PC doesn't recognize it and when I'm pressing POWER ON the red led light is lightning but nothing happens on screen. My question was if there was something to unbrick my phone.. Maybe by put something in a MicroSD memorycard from another phone and then put it in my Samsung Omnia. I red something like that but I don't know for sure how to it.

Im pretty sure the only way to unbrick it is to send it back to a Samsung repair centre. Although you said that its been about a week since youve gotten it, so you might still have your initial warranty which allows you to exchange your phone over the counter from where you bought it.

try to upgrade to different PC(suggest using laptop)

make sure u running on XP(better if sp2)

install microsoft active sync(form CD or you can google it)

install samsung modem driver

then restart your PC

make sure no active usb port except your data cable for omnia..

start upgrade... it will work...

G--,

If you do have access to another omnia, I saw a post long ago where it said to start update with other omnia to get pc attention. Then change phone before starting download.

Good luck,

Ron...

If there is only the red led and nothing else its bricked. Nothing can be done just take it to the shop and they will probably repair it under warranty

atleast in my country they do

i bricked it with an unoffical rom and they still repaired without any question

No, there is no other option then sending it to service (authorized or not - it has to have proper box to upload new bootloader and flash firmware).
