i900DXID1/SK002 Rom No Service Problem

When I set Band Selection to automatic I get "No Service"

if i use GSM900/1800 I at least and an Edge connection.

if i use WCDMA I get a short 3G icon which changes to "no Service" if i try to use it.

Im using an o2 sim in the Uk that is data enabled.

Does anyone have any ideas ?
