Guest rcicu Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Since the CF03 upgrade I have been using the GPS on the Omnia in my car. I get about 20min into my trip and my omnia over heats. I move the omnia out of the sun and in front of the vent. That gave me about 5 more min before it shuts down. Has anyone else experienced this or have any fixes/ideas? I am running BW Night v1.2 and using iGO. Thanks, Edited July 30, 2009 by rcicu
Guest necosino Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Yes, this is nothing new. GPS/data connection/WiFi/Charging, etc will create heat. However my phone has never overheated. I have driven 4+ hours using my phone as my GPS and never had an issue as long as it was in front of a vent (I haven't tried it in the winter, but I doubt that would be an issue anymore, lol). Make sure that your WiFi is off, or it may be constantly searching/trying to connect to networks.
Guest rcicu Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I have both the WIFI and Bluetooth turned off. The phone is just Navigating and charging. Thank you
