You say this but you forget a full stop after you said overlook lol. :D

Moving on, any new updates on the home screen weather just read about 25 pages on the xda thread but nothing seems to work.

Found a solution HERE

Seems to work for me :)

Direct Link in case the above does not work...

That's not a fix... That only imports the data from the weather tab. The mega weather actually uses agps to find out what city you are in and updated the home screen for data from that city.

Yup, "Location settings" comes up fine.

check http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c6029de...ac99885da44e881

See if you see HTC advanced settings (I think). I'm still blocked from my computer at home (going to try SSH tunnel tomorrow), so I don't remember the exact name.

The new Agps and stuff may need to be cooked in, I'm not sure yet.

So do you or Sector have any plans to release a ROM with this new M2D cooked in for the rest of us to enjoy? Preferably on WinMo 6.5 :)

Yup, I'll be releasing the HTSamsung MegAmnia later tonight probably for people to try. I just want to see if I can get a couple of other mega/touch2 packages in. I can't testing for a few hours. It'll probably be late tonight.

Sector do u have same problems like us or ur version works perfect with all applications ? On which rom did u install this md2?

Yes everything works for me.

===

Test2:

I have resigned the sdks as they might have HTC certs.

So please install again these 3 cabs and let me know if it works or not.

If smth is cooked into a rom, it is a trusted file thats why smth the cooked m2d doesnt have problems.

EDIT: Check some posts below for the cabs

You need to uninstall the agps, google location services and geo service before installing the new ones.

This is what the google location should look like.

ill give it a quick try now

do i install these i the agps, google location services and geo service after i installed sectors new file's, just in case i do, im thinking i will.

Almost everything seems to work fine on my Omnia (which is running the latest build of Win Mob 6.5 - can't remember the build number). The only issue I seem to have is that the weather on the home screen doesn't update. I can live with that for now though.

EDIT: The location services don't work either.

im out of ideas guys. if i and woozy think smth will let u know for sure.

i guess smth must be cooked from all these cabs for the weather to work...

so this is a call for cookers, chefs and so on if they want to use this m2d it will be wiser to cook it and provide it to users.

time to sleep! gnite! :)
