Regress back to CF03 6.1, adding packages left out of 6.5 ROMs

Gang, please forgive me... I searched for about 15 minutes, and appaerntly am too stupid to figure out the right search terms to find what I'm after, so I beg your indulgence and patience.

I'm on the official CF03 6.1 rom, phone otherwise heavily customized.

All the talk around here has finally pushed me over the edge to try out 6.5. I'm thinking of flashing to BlazingWolf's 6.5 Night rom, but which one I use is really not that important to this thread. What I can't find succinctly summarized anywhere well enough for me to pull it altogether is this: Where do I obtain, and how do I install features that have been removed? There are quite a few of these, for example SmartReader, that I like and use, and want to put back.

Second, if I just find that I prefer my 6.1 setup, how do I go back? I can think of two ways, but want some advice. One, I could just completely flash the CF30 upgrade again from Samsung/Verizon's update app. That seems overkill, though.

Two, I could extract the .bin file from the CF30 package, and then flash just that like any of these custom ROMs. Do I have that right? And if so, has someone already extracted that and posted it here somewhere?

one: look in the i900 rom section. There is a thread containing cabs for all the original apps. there are multiple versions though. It will be hit or miss sometimes as to which ones will work right with which ROM you have decided to flash to.

two: as for returning to the original 6.1 setup: These ROMs are just "cooked" versions of 6.1 with titanium and other graphical and application changes. There is no actual wm 6.5 ROM for the omnia yet. I have no idea why anyone would want to go back to 6.1 interface but if you find you do, the only way I know how you would do it is to use the CF30 again.

Late reply but I'll throw it up anyway. The link to the old apps is HERE. Like said above some of the apps might not work so I would start with the newest versions and if they for some reason dont work, move on to the next newest and so on.

I'm not sure if someone has extracted the .bin from cfo3 but if you found it yes you can just do it the same as flashing a custom. Click pda, load it and flash. It would be just as easy to run the Verizon update though, it would just take a few minutes longer.
