Omnia settings for 3 Australia

so i flashed to WM6.5, specifically the one by QBUS, Sector and Khuanchai

but i lost all my internet settings so i can't go on Planet 3 in Australia anymore.

Internet explorer just refuses to load anything.

Can anyone help??

i saw someone suggested HTC network Manager, but i cant find it anywhere and i now have no idea on what to do.

Try Settings>Connections>Operator Settings

Select "Hutchison au" (or similar) and hit OK

This should work, although I'm not 100% because I'm not with Three

yer i did that. and after a bit of fiddling i DID get some internet working.

however streaming videos arent loading at all.

using internet explorer, it just spits me with a page can not be displayed page. it says cannot find server or DNS error

and i installed opera, which works mildly better in the way that the link was passed to windows media player, but it still didnt work afterwards

did you try setting--connections-- connections--advanced--select network-- and chose My ISP or My internet in both

if it does't help try the following..

try to use a different network than urs for 30 seconds and then soft reset and get back to your netwrok, it might help, i saw it somewhere in the thread i don't remember,,, just try it... usually it detect all the settings after rebooting..

if non of the above worked try shokka rom v17

I used Khuanchai 3-in-1 23001 ROM. Worked like a charm with Aus Vodafone settings for me.

I don't think it is down to the ROM though because I have had this problem with every ROM I have tried

I am able to connect to any website that isn't planet 3. It goes to the page but it wont render the images.

I have tried the change operator trick and it does fix the problem for a short time but it reverts back within a few minutes.

I have all but given up trying to fix this, planet 3 is pretty crap anyhow, I just wish I could get access to the account pages.

Try the following:

Settings>Connections>Operator Settings

Select something besides! "Hutchison au" hit OK, wait 3 minutes *not sure how long it is I think it might just be 30 seconds* then switch back to Hutchison au. I remember this from somewhere, it might not be of use however...

Also try NoData and try toggling the internet connections, this worked for me.

i had the same problem and couldn't figure it out on Sectors roms.. they are really nice, but to use you have to give up on streaming vid from 3 site.. I had a problem with khunanchais roms too which i used 4 a while, but found that they are missing the streaming server app.. once u install this and put in the 3services connection u r flying.. u have to look for "MoDaCo_OmniaHH1StreamingPlayerFix_1_" it fixes it.. i moved back to original oz rom as i need to send to samsung for warranty.. i have an echo problem..

NOTE: here are the settings..

To get Planet3 (3content) working you have to set up the following connection:

1) Go to Settings - Connections - then click the Connections icon

2) Under "My ISP" click on 'Add a new modem connection

3) Enter the name for the connection: 3services

4) Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS , 3G) - then click Next at bottom

5) Access point name: 3services - then click Next

6) User name: *****@three.com.au

(when you signed up with 3 you where given a username & password. Enter you username before the @symbal)

Password: Enter your password

Domain: Leave blank

7) Click finnish

To access the Internet you have to set up the following connection:

1) Go to Settings - Connections - then click the Connections icon

Best bet to avoid this trouble in future, contact 3 and tell them you want a new usim. On mine everytime I flash my phone when I start the phone up it imports the settings directly from my usim.

Hi Guys, it seems this related to omnia users in Oz and wonder if you can help me here!!

I've been thinking Khuanchai_UL_M2D_23016-21928_PP6 ..or..Vie12 and Vie12 seems to suit my purpose. I've post this question in this forum and did not get a direct answer.

I have a i900 Singapore stock and my current rom is DXIA5/DZIA5. Before I flash, I like to know the following:-

1. Can I go back to DXIA5/DZIA5 if all failed ?

2. As the Khuanchai or Vie12 rom is based on DXID1 and is DXID1 an official ss rom ?

3. Can I upgrade this Khuanchai or Vie12 from DXIA5/DZIA5 rom ?

4. Do I just execute the *.exe file and not need to use another sw (other than active-sync and samsung moderm driver) ?

5. Does both rom includes both pda and phone part ?

6. If once I flash to Vie12 and wanted to sell my phone, can I flash it back to the ss official rom i900DZIA5 and is it just simply executing the *.exe file dl from ss site or have 1001+ complication steps before I can flash it back to ss rom?
