why wont core play the youtube videos?

i can search through core, get all the bumf, click info ok. press play, flashes title in play window then does bugger all!!??

anything i have to setup in core as it dont work out the box?

if i look at media properties, url is youtube://HOHriDR8F8o

is that right? or missing full url domain etc.?

I tried Coreplayer the other night only then realising it had Youtube on it.

I couldn't get it to work either.

I downloaded the google youtube application which works very well, so I'm not too concerned about it.

Would be interested to see what I was doing wrong though?

If you look at the coreplayer forums you will see it is known bug and that they promised to fix it in the next release. this was some time ago.

What about Core player settings? Check that the file association is good, on my Core player, some files were not associated to Core by default, including streaming files.

Then you must check the network settings so that Core detects automatically your network or proxy (it seems that these settings don't stay in memory, I aften have to make them again before watching youtube or streaming TV with Coreplayer
