I do reset my phone for my phone recharge again ... This is a common problem. the phone gets too hot and stops charging the battery. It is worst when the phone is in the sun. I hold mine in front of the aircon to cool off. If you can get the aircon to blow over the phone it will help.

Guest snaai8 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 it can be the charger itself! where did you get your car charger from? i got mine with the millionaire package and if i put it in the sigaret hole (sorry don't know the exact name) it connects after a few secconds! but if i push the charger in the hole it does recharge....

I have a Samsung cigarette charger that came with my omnia and it stops charging if the phone overheats. The LED on the charge turns off. I need to let the phone cool down before it starts charging again. I can pull it out when it is too hot and plug it in again and the LED turns on then off again when it detects the phone is too hot.
Guest Billou Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 It's possible it's so hot Because, when I connect/disconnect, I listen the " bip " And if I connect my girlfriends phone ( F480 ) it's charging ...

The plug needs both "grips" to work. You can try to pry them out further and see if it helps. I had a similar problem in my car, has cigarette lighter and a separate "meant" for chargers. I needed to charge 2 things, so plugged one into cig lighter spot, and after a bit my cig lighter wouldn't work anymore as it should, i had to hold it in. Your problem seems similar, try bending the "grips" a bit to get them to touch properly. Also try rotating the charger around in the plug, this was a problem i've also had.

It was so frustrating in the car, i had 6 hours to drive and my omnia was out...
Guest Billou Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Oky I try it too when I use my gps :) And I remove my back socle ...
Guest noshet Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Been trying to get this right also.... Something I noticed, iGO 8.3 seems to be power hungry more than iGO8 version (personal observation). :) One more remark, I'm not sure if we put the phone in front of the air con vent, will the inside phone circuit board condensed and damaged. A little afraid of that. ;)
