I'm not asking whether or not it can be put on our Omnias. I'm aware that the rendering requires advanced hardware that our Omnia doesn't support. I know there is virtual 3d rendering, which then, at that moment, I breifly had an idea.

Perhaps we could use components from TF3D and make them into a hybrid of TF2D and 3d. I'm aware that in the newer HTC phones, that Windows is almost completely made over by TF3D, but if we just had the main components, such as the Album Viewer, the Photo Viewer, the E-mail and Messaging, that the virtual rendering could probably handle that?

Maybe I'm missing the target, but its just an idea. Theoretically, it should work, but I'm not a cook, and honestly don't have the patience to learn how =). Maybe someone else might want to tread these waters though?

this has proof otherwise...of your "nope"...I know that everyone's been saying its not possible... BUT THIS GUY IS USING THE i900 OR i910 from the video...LOOK at the TF3D working on there..

That video shows Manilla2D (also called TouchFLO2d). It is a ported version of touchflo3d without some of the fancy 3d animation that is on the normal version. There are several ROMs around that have that built in.

The newest version around (called M2D2) was ported from the HTC mega and some cool effects like weather data from GPS location on home screen and the animated flip clock. You can get the cabs for this one from this thread:

I would recommend just flashing a ROM with it though, it's much less of a headache.

The older (original) version of M2D is the one from the video. It has the "rain" animation, but the flip clock is static, and only weather tab has weather data. You can find the "all in one" cab for that one at this site:

(must install to device memory).
