Guest eufouria Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 SPB Mobile shell 3 can be a lot of fun to play around with. Look around the forums, that's the best way to stumble across something you didn't even know you wanted. :)
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 what type of things are you looking for? http://adamhandy.blogspot.com/search/label/phone my blog has a few apps on it you might like
Guest jason07 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 The absolute first thing you want to do is upgrade to a new/better ROM. There are official ones, but most people on here use a custom ROM from here. Apart from the programs that will come in a new ROM, I reckon everyone should have the following (Google or search these forums to find the .cab's for them); A new today screen as people have said. SPB is great, as is M2D. Midomi (music ID app) Opera 9.7 An alternate picture viewer/music player - HTC album and audi manager are good, S2V is ok too, Chilli photo slide and Kinoma work well too. a GPS program - iGO works great, you can get a copy pretty easily... legally of course... Some decent games (ashphalt 4 [racing], midnight pool 2 etc) CorePlayer (great for videos/movies) There's hundreds of other useful apps, just browse around a few Omnia specific site and u'll find yourself wasting hours and hours trying them all :)
Guest leyz86 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Is it Omnia 1 that you just got ? Is there a reason you didn't pick Omnia 2 ??
Guest mr.bhola Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Look for Manila 2d !:) And what for rom you have ? A custom rom is better with Windows mobile 6.5:)
Guest La Traviata Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 MemMaid or Resco Explorer for tweaking the registry and memory management, SPB keyboard for easier typing and a stylish and customisable UI (SPB mobile shell, PointUI, Manila).
Guest neodude112320 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Thanks guys :) I Have gone with a couply of the apps you guys have suggested but at the moment im using the ROM that came with the phone (MBHJ3?).Which is the best one to use? Also whenever i try upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.5,the Userdownloader Application can never find my phone (It Says No PDA Device Found ... close device timeout--) and i have tried it under Windows 7 AND Windows XP (Under Virtualbox),Any ideas why?
Guest mr.bhola Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 You have to try it from Shokka WM6.5 YOu have to start the updater. Plugin your Phone. With usb cabel. THen make the phone out. THen make the phone on. Then you see that you can press start.

Have you followed these steps? Also remember you MUST install the latest Pointui version. - Remove PointUI from Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs - Delete \Program Files\Home2\ if there is anything still there. - Download and install PointUI 2.1.0.6 from http://www.pointui.com/products/home-2/ - Enable PointUI from Start > Settings > Today > Items > Tick PointUI Home2 - Close the Settings window. - Disable PointUI from Start > Settings > Today > Items > Untick PointUI Home2 - Download and install PointSenseSuite (QVGA or VGA) from the first post. - Download and install PointSense.Homescreen (QVGA or VGA) from the first post. - Re-enable PointUI from Start > Settings > Today > Items > Tick PointUI Home2 - Once PointUI has started go to Menu > Customize > Change theme - Apply PointSense theme. - Go to applets window, remove all current applets you don't want and add PointSense applets.
