Some help understanding my insurance?

Ok, I have scoured the vzw website to no prevail. I have no idea what my insurance covers, or how to use it. What qualifies me to get a replacement phone, and do I have to pay a deductible? I hate to go and ask my local store, I'd waste at least an hour trying to get any info from them. My phone is beat up pretty bad, and now I'm hearing that omnias no longer stocked? I'd hate to get a blackberry or some dumbphone as a replacement. Can someone explain to me how the insurance works?

The insurance is worthless IMO. These phones have a one year manufacturers warranty that will cover just about anything that happens to the phone. Now, say you drop it in the water or crack the screen or something, then yes, you would have to pay $50 for a new phone. However if there's something actually wrong with the phone (a defect, such as screen is having issues, or sound issues, or whatever) then it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The only benefit of the insurance is that if you did drop it in the water or crack the screen, or if it was stolen, you would be able to replace it free. But how many times have you done this? To me, the $50 to replace a phone is cheaper than the cost of paying for insurance each and every month when I am pretty careful with my phone as far as keeping it with me, and away from water. :)

I have had the insurance for about 4 years and i recomend any one tho keep or get it. had vx6600 " fell in water" they had to upgrade me to the 6700. had the 6700 "fell in toilet" had to up grade me to the 6800. lost it once replaced it. phone got ran over by my truck had to replace it. pipe wrench fell on i760 had to replace it and if my onnia wasn't still in warranty they would be replacing it now charger port is loose.
